Initially Google Assistant was just available for Pixel phones Google recently confirmed that they are rolling out Google Assistant to almost all Android smartphones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 7.0 Nougat or higher. Get Google Assistant On Your Android Smartphone:
1.Before Preceding Make sure that your phone is compatible.
Google Assistant just support devices which are running 6.0 Marshmallow or higher if you are running on lower version you have to update your phone via official OTA or Custom Rom
2.Join the Beta Program of Google.
Go to Settings->Google, tap on the three-dot menu button on the top right and then, tap on “Help & Feedback“. In the “Help” page, tap on the three-dot menu button and tap “View in Google Play Store“. This will open up the Play Store page of Google Play Services.
Here, you can just scroll down and tap on the “I’m in” button in “Become a beta tester” section. Then, tap on “Join“, after which the beta signup will be in progress. Once it completed you can proceed further steps.
3.Update “Google play Services” & “Google App”
Once done, wait for a few minutes and then, open up Play Store. Here, go to the “My apps & games” section and go to the “Beta” tab, where you will find “Google app” and “Google Play Services”. Just update both of them.
4. Clear Data of “Google play Services” & “Google App”
Go to Settings->Apps. Here, go to the Google->Storage->Manage Space and tap on “Clear All Data“.
5.Set Up the Google Assistant
In Google app go to “Menu” and tap on “Settings“. You will Settings for Google Assistant just tap on it will pop-up setup window. Tap on “Continue” and hold the “Home” button it will trigger Google Assistant.
